Bits and pieces of my work and everyday life

Driftwood

I've been working on these lately. I love collecting driftwood - especially in the summer when it's dry and you can easily find naturally bleached pieces as these here. Every piece feels and smells different: some like sun and sea, some more like sand or mold :). And you have to get to know them before you start cutting, otherwise you can break them easily. I use structure paste for windows and engrave the window holes once the paste is dry. The hooks I make of some weird things I buy from hardware store (they are meant for attaching dropped ceilings :)). A little bit of acrylic paint for adding some colour and voilà!
